I would seem most likely that the aircraft that was lost would have been a Marine MV-22 as the Marines were principally participating in exercise “African Lion” at the time of the incident, although USAF’s CV-22s have also been to Morocco for training in the past.
*UPDATE: THE AIRCRAFT INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT IS CONFIRMED AS A MARINE MV-22
Any guess as to how the Marines will spin this favor of buying more V-22s?
