Excellent video but when I watched on your link last night, it cut off about the last 4 minutes but as able to find it on Youtube. The Vulcan was/is an impresssive flying machines and their airshows were incredible! When I was a 2nd Lt at Castle AFB, I used to give tours inside their Vulcan, it had a stick but the control came out of the front of the cockpit like a yoke. If you want to hear of a crazy plan never executed, find out about the SAS plan to crashland a C-130 Hercules on the primary Mirage runway with an SAS Sabre Squadron to run amuck and destroy Argie aircraft!

Fantastic documentary, thank you. Just last week I was visiting the Scottish Museum of Flight where they have on static display a Vulcan from a subsequent Black Buck raid. This used Shrike ARMs to attack Argentinian radars – and due to a refuelling probe mishap, had to divert to Brazil on the return leg, causing a bit of a diplomatic incident.

I’d like to see the RAF getting in to the LRS-B game. One squadron, say, could pretty much replace the Tornado fleet and, with nuclear capability, could replace Trident – a useful hedge against an independent Scotland denying the RN of its Clyde bases. (The Vanguard class then becoming SSGNs.)
